The short answer

Short answer

An AI receptionist for criminal defense firms answers every call, including the late-night calls about an arrest. It takes who is calling, the charge in the caller’s words, and any court date. It sends calls about someone in custody or a court date soon to the on-call attorney right away, and books consults on your calendar.

01 / Where calls get lost

Where calls slip away.

3 moments
  • 01

    Arrests can happen at night

An arrest can happen late at night. A family member calls a firm, gets no answer, and calls the next one.

  • 02

    Court dates next week

Someone with a court date next week has questions now. Attorneys are in court all day and cannot pick up.

  • 03

    Calls from people just charged

A person who was just charged has many questions. If the line is busy, that call may never reach your team.

02 / On the phone

What it handles.

It answers from the info you give us about your criminal defense firm. Then it asks the questions you would ask.

Built on your info

Calls it takes

  • A family member calls in the middle of the night after an arrest.
  • A caller says a son was arrested tonight and needs a lawyer.
  • A caller has a court date next week and no lawyer yet.
  • A person who was just charged asks for a consult.
  • A caller asks whether a person can get out of jail tonight.
  • A caller wants to book a consult for later this week.

What it asks

  1. Who is calling, and who is the call about?
  2. What is the charge, in your own words?
  3. Is the person in custody right now?
  4. Is there a court date, and when is it?
  5. What time and number work best to reach you?

03 / The rules it follows

When it hands off. What it never does.

You set the rules

Sent to a person now

  • Anyone in custody right now is sent to the on-call attorney right away.
  • A court date tomorrow goes to the on-call attorney right away.
  • A caller who says police want to talk to them is transferred right away.
  • A caller who is very upset is transferred to a person right away.

It never

  • Tell a caller whether to talk to the police.
  • Say what will happen in court or what a sentence might be.
  • Give legal advice or say whether a caller has a defense.
  • Share anything about other clients or their cases.

04 / How it goes live

How it goes live.

Three steps. We do the building.

3 steps · no mystery box
  1. Start a plan

Start online. Then fill out a short form: your hours, services, common questions, calendar and who gets urgent calls.

  2. We build it and test it with you

We build your receptionist on your criminal defense firm. You call it, and we tune it until it sounds like you.

  3. It goes live on your number

Your calls forward to it. We watch it, tune it as new questions come up, and send you a monthly report. Texting turns on once your carrier registration clears (A2P 10DLC).

The 30-day answer guarantee

Every call answered and logged, or you cancel and pay nothing more.

In your first 30 days, every call routed to the AI is answered and logged in your report. If it isn’t, you can cancel with no further payments. It covers the AI Receptionist and every Desk.

We don’t promise rankings, revenue or ROI. We promise the phone gets answered and you can see it. Details are in the Service terms.

06 / Questions

Straight answers.

7 questions

Use the setup checklist to test the facts, calendar and handoff before real calls.

01

Will it tell a caller whether to talk to the police?

No. If a caller says police want to talk to someone, the AI sends the call to an attorney right away. It never gives advice about what to say.

02

Will it explain what will happen in court?

No. It takes the charge and the court date, then passes them to an attorney. Your attorneys explain court matters, not the AI.

03

Can a family member call for someone who was arrested?

Yes. The AI asks who is calling and who the call is about. It also asks for a number to reach the caller.

04

What happens when someone is in custody right now?

The AI takes the caller’s name, where the person is being held, and a number. It sends the call to the on-call attorney right away.

05

Will the AI ask for a card or bank number to hold a consult?

No. The AI never asks for card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers or passwords.

06

Will callers know it’s an AI?

Yes, if they ask. It never claims to be a person. Every call starts with a notice that it is recorded. Anyone who wants a person gets a warm transfer or a callback.

07

How much does an AI receptionist for criminal defense lawyers cost?

Most criminal defense lawyers start with the Fusion Front Desk: the AI Receptionist plus AI Speed-to-Lead, for $797 a month. The one-time build fee is $1,497. We waive it on a 6-month agreement. In Founding 25 (the first 25 clients, or until Dec 31, 2026), we waive it on a 3-month start. Phone calls only? The AI Receptionist alone is $497 a month.
